*Painted Warrior*........................
I do not fit here-
Which is not to say that I don't belong-
I am here,
And this is what I have to work with-
I was a painted warrior riding full speed-
The wind was at my back,
The earth was on my side,
And the universe was a play ground
For all who held her sacred-
Connection was unquestionable
And time did not exist-
Shapeshifting has become a crime
And I am still a savage-
I do not fit here, so I will mold the world-
I will tailor everything to fit the truth
Not misplaced, but placed to perfection-
Painted again-
Ready for my battle-
Surrounded by time, country, and religion
And the wind is at my back.
